Counting down the days for Daddy’s return

The last 10 days have been one for the books. Sawyer has had a hard time readjusting after our quick weekend vacation trip and the day after we returned; hubby/daddy went back to work.

So we’ve experienced some epic Meltdown Days full of tears, pinching, hitting, spitting, removal of clothes, removal of diaper, refusing to eat and only wanting one or two things (we’ve been passed the serious pickiness for a couple months now), sleepless nights, and even this Mama having her own meltdown (or two).

We’re on the countdown for when Daddy comes back home. Thursday is so close, but feels so far away. So I’m trying to make these next couple days simple. Nothing outside of the house. When he gets in these moods; we try to let him get grounded again in his comforts.

His favorite place is home. He loves being at the house, playing in the backyard, sneaking into his older brothers rooms and making a mess, sneaking into Mom and Daddy’s room and finding our vacuum cleaner and taking it all apart 😩, watching Curious George, playing in his safe room on his swings, crash pads, coloring on his chalk wall, being creative on his sensory board... this is his favorite place of all.

We’ve worked hard to make it so. But we still have things to finish for it to be complete.

So I’m going to let us be “home bodies” for the next couple days and this weekend when the hubby/daddy comes home.

On a happy note, Sawyer has been very clingy and when that usually is not a good thing; I take advantage of all the snuggles and cuddles as most days he’s too busy to do so.

Looking on the brighter side 🌞🌼🌸🌺☀️
